Located in Lisbon, Portugal, we are a lifestyle clothing brand that seeks to empower athletes through modern and trendy apparel.
Our name, Sombra, means "shadow" in Portuguese - we exist to bring hard-working athletes out of these overlooked shadows and into the shining light.
Each of our pieces is created in partnership with a select athlete, who receives the opportunity to spread his or her values and design a product with a story in mind. Each athlete also receives a portion of their product's profit.
We are eager to develop innovative, meaningful, high-quality designs that satisfy all customer demands and inspire others to be the best versions of themselves.
Our goal is to not only fulfill the needs of our supporters, but also to ensure that every piece we create tells an athlete's story, strengthening the connection between sports and communities.
Who are we?
We are two young entrepreneurs - one from Portugal and the other from the United States - united by a shared passion for sport, design, and simplistic apparel. Now based in Lisbon, we’ve combined our diverse perspectives and global experiences to create a clothing brand that celebrates the mindset of athletes and the energy of an active lifestyle.
Our journey began as two students with a simple idea: to build a clothing brand that reflects the discipline, ambition, and confidence that define athletes both on and off the field. Having traveled to various countries, we’ve both seen how sport connects people across cultures - it’s a universal language of perseverance and progress. That spirit is what drives us.
This brand is more than apparel. It’s a representation of who we are - two young creators chasing a vision, driven by passion and purpose, and committed to inspiring others to live with the same focus and drive that fuels every great athlete.
